Why Orion exists.

Most students interested in research don't get near it until an internship, if they get one at all. Orion was built to move that timeline up.

Maddox is a student at Emory University's Goizueta Business School, studying Finance and Applied Mathematics. He's originally from Atlanta.

He started Orion in February 2026 after noticing how much of the on-ramp into finance depends on who you already know. Orion was his attempt at a different on-ramp: one built on the actual work, not the connections.

The group grew fast. What started as an idea among a handful of students turned into a cohort of 80 analysts from more than 40 schools in its first two cycles.
